Can you feel the excitement in the air? Google I/O is just one day away now, and the blogosphere is quivering in anticipation. We're not entirely sure what Google has prepared for us, but thanks to a yearly tradition that dates all the way back to Cupcake, or Android 1.5, we know it will definitely involve jelly beans.
That's right, firmly planted in the ground outside of Building 44 at the Googleplex, you'll now find a bright, colorful Jelly Bean statue, signaling the arrival of the next major release of Android.
Expected to release alongside the Nexus 7 tablet, Android 4.1 ( or so we believe it will be called) will for the most part be a refinement release. Ice Cream Sandwich brought with it more changes than any single update so far. Jelly Bean will, more or less, work to smooth those features out. A tweaked Google search bar, a redesigned Google Play app. Things like that. Of course Google undoubtedly has some surprises in store for us, but don't expect them to drop Holo or anything drastic like that.
If you want to watch the unveiling of Jelly Bean unfold right before your very eyes, Google will be live streaming the entire I/O keynote starting tomorrow at 12:30 PM EST (9:30 AM PST).
