Whoa, Facebook just bought Instagram for $1 billion. According to a press release, they plan to keep Instagram as an independent company and work to add some of its strengths into other Facebook products. Mark Zuckerberg has stated that they won't force you to share things with or follow all of your Facebook friends and that they will continue to allow the app to connect with other social networks. Then again, don't companies always say this stuff when they acquire another?
